Heskins H9912X / H9915X / H9920X UHB Heavy-Duty Double Sided Bonding Tape Acrylic Foam
Heskins UHB Heavy-Duty Bonding Tape is an ultra-high-bond, double-sided tape for bonding or mounting materials together. It is made from a dense, durable acrylic foam core coated on both sides with a solvent-free pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive. The tape forms a solid bond quickly and reaches full adhesion in roughly three days, after which it provides a permanent, waterproof joint that replaces rivets, screws, bolts and spot welds in many industrial and automotive assemblies.
The acrylic foam is viscoelastic: it relaxes stress and absorbs energy, which dampens vibration and helps the joint avoid the fatigue failures that mechanical fixings can suffer over time. The tape is resistant to solvents, moisture and UV, whereas metal fasteners can corrode. Using tape instead of fasteners also reduces noise, seals against draughts, speeds up application and improves the finished appearance because there are no visible fixings.
Three thicknesses are available - H9912X at 1.2 mm, H9915X at 1.5 mm and H9920X at 2 mm - in widths from 12 mm to 800 mm and roll lengths up to 33 metres. All are black (RAL 9004). Bespoke sizes and colours can be produced depending on order quantity.
