Heskins H3453 Corrosion Protection Tape - Anti-Galvanic Insulating PVC Tape
Heskins H3453 Corrosion Protection Tape is a self-adhesive insulating tape designed to prevent galvanic corrosion. Galvanic corrosion occurs when two different metals are in contact through an electrolyte (such as water or salt spray) and one metal corrodes in preference to the other - the classic case being aluminium against steel. H3453 is applied between the two metals to break the electrical connection, so the electrolytic reaction cannot take place.
The tape has a PVC construction with a total applied thickness of 0.71 mm, is chemical and water resistant and can be used immediately after application. It is supplied in rolls and sheets, and Heskins can die-cut almost any shape in-house for repeat fittings such as pipe clamps, brackets and flange faces. Custom printing (for example warning text such as 'Corrosion-Protected Pipe. Do Not Remove.') is available.
