Heskins H3474 / H3473 iGrips Non-Abrasive Grip Tape for Electronics and Handheld Equipment
Heskins iGrips is a soft, rubber-like grip material developed to improve handling control on electronics and handheld equipment. The surface carries a hexagonal bobble emboss that gives a comfortable, secure grip without any abrasive content, so it will not scratch hands, clothing or the device it is applied to. The material is a siliconised film with a low Shore hardness, and it is free from phthalate plasticisers, which makes it suitable where safety matters, such as toys, medical devices and laboratory equipment.
iGrips is supplied in two variants: H3474 with a permanent non-aqueous pressure-sensitive adhesive, and H3473 without adhesive for use in moulded, clamped or sewn assemblies. Total material thickness is 0.51 mm +/- 0.04 mm. Rolls are slit to any width from 19 mm to 500 mm and die-cuts are available in many shapes and sizes, subject to minimum order quantities. Heskins describes the material as weather-, heat- and sweat-resistant. For best adhesion, apply at 10 C or above.
