Heskins H8101 Standard Egress Photoluminescent Glow in the Dark Marking Tape
Heskins H8101 Standard Egress is a smooth photoluminescent marking tape. It is a self-adhesive plastic (PVC) base film impregnated with photoluminescent powder. The powder is charged by light during normal conditions and emits a green glow when the lights dim or fail, providing low-location way-guidance without power.
Egress tape is widely used in the USA, where regulations require photoluminescent marking on skirting boards in tall buildings. It is applied along the top of skirting boards (baseboards) and around door surrounds so that occupants can find their way through smoke. The neutral photoluminescent base, H8101X, appears pale green by day and glows green in the dark. Following customer demand Heskins added blue, red, yellow and orange versions, produced with an extra pigmenting step.
Any roll width within manufacturing tolerances can be supplied and die-cut shapes can be made in almost any form. Printing of text, images, symbols or logos is available on H8101X only. H8101 is also used as the base for Heskins Glow Line Safety-Grip, photoluminescent Safety-Grip and dual-purpose Safety-Grip die cuts.
