Heskins H6672 SOLAS Reflective Tape - IMO Approved Marine Safety Reflective Tape 50 mm x 50 m
Heskins H6672 SOLAS Reflective Tape is designed to meet the SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) regulations set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) for marking vessels, life-saving appliances and maritime structures. It carries MED approvals (B+D Type II) and has been independently tested to the SOLAS/IMO requirements. Fitted to life rings, liferafts, lifeboats, rescue craft, buoys and offshore platforms, the tape returns searchlight beams with 360-degree reflective performance so people and equipment can be found quickly in day or night rescue operations.
The tape is built for the marine environment: micro glass beads are embedded in a polyurethane coating that withstands UV, salt water, corrosion, extreme temperatures, cracking and fading, and the construction is fire-resistant. It is self-adhesive, needs little maintenance and bonds to smooth marine surfaces such as aluminium, fibreglass and steel; it is flexible enough to follow flat, curved and irregular shapes. Service temperature is -40 C to +80 C and the listed lifespan is 10 years. It is not intended for fabric or lifejackets.
H6672 is supplied as standard in 50 mm x 50 m rolls in silver, with widths from 15 mm to 1240 mm available. Heskins also offers pre-cut kits and custom printing (text, QR codes, symbols, muster point markings) for fleet and offshore operators.
