Heskins H6602 DOT-C2 Conspicuity Reflective Tape - Glass Bead Vehicle Reflective Tape
Heskins H6602 DOT Tape is a glass-bead retroreflective conspicuity tape produced for DOT-C2 applications - the red and white marking used on trailers, truck bodies and other commercial vehicles so that they are visible at night and in poor weather. Microscopic glass beads are applied to the film surface in a honeycomb-shaped grid; these reflect the majority of incoming light straight back towards the source, so a vehicle outlined with H6602 lights up in the headlights of approaching traffic.
The tape is an impact-proof, UV-stable reflective material with a permanent self-adhesive base for use on clean, dry aluminium, steel and fibreglass. It has been tested for high-pressure washing, chemicals, salt spray, flexibility, impact and adhesion, and carries a 5-year warranty. Heskins supplies it in plain red, yellow and white as well as the alternating red/white DOT pattern, in roll widths from 15 mm to 1244 mm and a standard 45.7 m length. Custom printed versions (for example 'Wide Load' or 'Caution: Slow Moving Vehicle') are available where regulations allow. H6602 is produced for the DOT-C2 / FMVSS 108 requirement; for European ECE 104 marking Heskins offers the separate H6632 microprismatic tape.
