Heskins H3510 Keying Agent Adhesion Promoter for Anti-Slip Tape on Low-Energy Surfaces
Heskins H3510 Keying Agent is a surface treatment for the one situation where even a high-grab self-adhesive tape struggles: low surface energy substrates. Plastics such as polyurethane (PUR) and polypropylene (PP), and other smooth low-friction materials, do not let the liquid-based adhesive on a tape backing wet out and spread, so the tape never achieves a full bond and the edges lift under traffic.
A small amount of H3510 applied to the substrate before the tape increases the surface energy of the material so the anti-slip tape or floor marking tape bonds reliably. It is the standard Heskins recommendation when Safety-Grip anti-slip tape, PermaStripe or PermaRoute line marking is to be fitted to plastic steps, composite panels, plastic equipment housings or coated low-energy surfaces.
The keying agent is supplied in a 120 ml bottle because each application needs only a small quantity. It is part of the Heskins ancillaries range and is used in sequence with H3508 IPA Surface Cleaner (clean the surface), H3510 Keying Agent (prime low-energy areas) and H3502 Edge Fix (seal the tape edges).
