Heskins H3422 Aerated Safety-Grip Skateboard Grip Tape Anti-Slip Sheets and Rolls
Heskins H3422 Aerated SafetyGrip is Heskins' grip tape for skateboards, scooters and longboards. It uses the same construction as the Heskins standard SafetyGrip anti-slip tape: a thick layer of high-grit mineral bonded to a precision-engineered backing with a high-quality permanent adhesive, laboratory rated R13 for slip resistance. Heskins describes the standard black grade as its most affordable skateboard grip tape while still outperforming typical alternatives.
The aerated version solves the most common fitting problem: air trapped under a large sheet. Micro-pores are added to the tape with a rotary tool so that air escapes as the sheet is pressed down, giving a smooth finish even for inexperienced users. The standard cut piece is 9 in x 33 in (229 mm x 838 mm), sized for the average 8 in x 31 in board, and rolls can be produced in any width, with 9 in / 229 mm the most popular. For longboards Heskins offers a heat-resistant construction with a deep coating equivalent to X-Coarse grit, as rolls, sheets or ready-to-apply die-cuts. For scooter manufacturers, sheets or die-cut kits are supplied in volume (tooling costs and minimum order quantities apply). Silicon carbide grit is available on request; Heskins notes the hardness difference from conventional mineral on the Mohs scale is minimal. Custom printing with logos, patterns, text or full-colour artwork is available. Made in the UK by Heskins.
