Heskins H3408S CushionGrip Cushioned PU Non-Abrasive Anti-Slip Tape
Heskins H3408S CushionGrip is described by Heskins as an anti-slip with a difference. It is made from polyurethane (PU), which can be foamed to give a deep cushioning effect that the other plastics used for anti-slip tapes cannot. This makes it well suited to barefoot areas and to production lines, where it relieves leg pressure for operators who stand for long periods.
Because PU can be embossed more deeply, Heskins uses dedicated embossing rollers that produce a raised, riser-style pattern instead of a wave or dimple effect. PU also contains none of the potentially harmful chemicals found in more common plastics, so CushionGrip can be used where conventional materials would not be suitable.
Grip is quantified as coefficient of friction. Heskins prefers the pendulum method, and CushionGrip achieves 108 dry and 62 wet, figures the manufacturer states are well above what is required. Data sheets and original lab testing reports are available on request. The tape can be custom printed, for example with gym branding, instructional prompts or slogans.
