Heskins H3404 Thick Safety-Grip 2.12 mm Anti-Slip Tape for Recesses and Plate Steel
Heskins H3404 Thick Safety-Grip was created after customers asked for a much thicker anti-slip material than the standard 0.7 mm tape; Heskins modified its production machinery to handle the extra thickness. With a total applied thickness of 2.12 mm on a dense PVC backing, it is mainly used in recesses so that the anti-slip surface stands proud of the surrounding metal or stone. Recesses of 1.8 mm to 2 mm are common on stair nosings, access covers and vehicle steps.
The extra thickness also adds cushioning on hard surfaces, which is why the tape is often applied to plate-steel floors and boat decks. It uses a single grit grade between the standard and coarse Safety-Grip minerals, is water resistant for indoor, outdoor and muddy areas, and achieved R13 in laboratory testing. Custom printing of text, symbols or logos such as load limits or restricted-zone warnings is available.
