Heskins H3403 Glow in the Dark Anti-Slip Tape Photoluminescent Safety-Grip
Heskins H3403 Standard Anti-Slip Glow in the Dark tape is a photoluminescent version of the Heskins SafetyGrip abrasive anti-slip tape. It is designed to highlight critical areas, especially those prone to power failure, so that personnel can find stairs, walkways, exits and machinery edges safely when the lights go out. Heskins first produced photoluminescent anti-slip tape in 1998 and the product has been refined since.
The tape has two separate photoluminescent layers. The self-adhesive plastic base is photoluminescent, and the mineral grit is held by a flexible resin that is itself impregnated with photoluminescent paste, so the glow is not hidden by the grit. By day the tape shows a mild green shade; in darkness it emits a bright white light. It charges from natural or artificial light and emission typically lasts a few hours, depending on the light received. Heskins states that its photoluminescent materials contain no radioactive products.
The anti-slip surface is the deep-grit Heskins SafetyGrip mineral coating, which resists clogging by dirt or dust and is rated R13 by accredited off-site laboratories; DIN, pendulum and ASTM test certificates are available. The resilient PVC backing gives a total applied thickness of 1.03 mm. Standard plain rolls are 18.3 m long and any length from 3 m to 100 m is feasible, in widths from 19 mm to 1168 mm; custom die-cut shapes are available in any size (minimum order quantities may apply). Made in the UK by Heskins.
