Wolfram Industrie WTh40 Thoriated Tungsten Electrode 2.4 x 175 mm (Orange, pack of 10)
WTh40 carries the highest thorium dioxide content of the WTh family (up to 4% by weight). The higher the oxide content, the more ignitable the electrode compared with pure tungsten. Wolfram is the only manufacturer in Europe approved to produce tungsten-thorium.

Safety note: Wolfram notes that WTh electrodes are slightly radioactive: vapours or fine dust produced during welding or while resharpening the tip can be harmful to health, so they must be handled with special caution and the right safety measures (vacuum extraction) used. Shop characteristic: sealed radioactive source in compliance with safety regulations.
